The NEW

Print Medium Entry Requirements

  • The NEW

    • The NEW

The NEW Entry Requirements

The NEW was created to reward compelling, breakthrough work that refuses to be categorized in any other way.

The spirit of the category is to recognize new kinds of ideas, rather than simply new ideas, that create a new vocabulary for the industry, new avenues of thought and ideation, and hint at new roles for agencies.

Novelty alone, despite the name, isn’t enough. The NEW is looking to highlight and champion useful mutations that hint at how the industry is evolving, creating ripples in culture and returns for clients. Creating new spaces, new services, new platforms, and ultimately, new behaviors.

There is no boundary to the category except to say that if the work comfortably fits elsewhere, it probably isn’t NEW.

  • Submissions can be singular or multiple, offline and/or online, multi-platform interactive experiences, and all cross media branded entertainment.

  • May include but not limited to; Television, Print, Outdoor, Websites, Blogs, Online/Offline Games, Ambient, Live Events, Email, Podcast, Social Network Communities, Mobile, Direct, Alternate Reality Games (ARG) and/or Augmented Reality (AR).

Requirements

  • NO PHYSICAL MATERIAL REQUIRED

  • Entries submitted must be broadcast, published or released in a commercial environment with client approval between 1st July 2011 and 31st July 2012.

In the case of a query by the Jury, the entrant will be required to provide documentary evidence to prove eligibility of the entry. Entries must not contain entrant name or branding of entering company.

  • All submissions must be uploaded as a Video Case Study (see above for explanation of The NEW). The Video Case Study must not exceed 2 minutes. It is mandatory that the narration be in English. The jury prefers concise and to the point Video Case Studies.

  • Video Case Studies must NOT use any extraneous music. Entries using unlicensed music will be disqualified. Entry Fees for disqualified entries will not be refunded.

The specs for .MOV uploads:

Resolution: PAL - 1024 x 576 (16:9 or 4:3)
